High-Protein Cottage Cheese Toast - 4 Ways

 

Cottage Cheese Toast is one of my go-to meals for the days I don’t feel like cooking but still want something filling, flavorful, and nourishing.

Each toast starts with a generous layer of cottage cheese, which adds creaminess and a solid protein boost, then gets topped with simple ingredients that create big flavor with minimal effort. From a crispy egg with chili crisp, to fresh everything-bagel veggies, to sweet-savory hot honey, to a cozy pizza-inspired version, these toasts cover every mood while coming together in about 5 minutes.

They’re easy to customize, require very little prep, and deliver a satisfying balance of protein, fiber, and healthy fats—making them perfect for a quick lunch, light dinner, or anytime meal when time and energy are low but you still want to eat well.

 

Cottage Cheese Toast - 4 Ways

For each toast use:

  • 1 large piece of sourdough or whole wheat bread

  • approx. 2/3 cups cottage cheese

Pizza-Inspired

  • marinara sauce

  • cottage cheese

  • garlic powder

  • dried oregano

  • sun dried tomatoes

  • fresh basil, chopped

Hot honey & Pistachio

  • cottage cheese

  • chopped roasted pistachios

  • drizzle of hot honey

 

Everything Bagel

  • cottage cheese

  • everything but the bagel seasoning

  • cucumbers, sliced

  • cherry tomatoes, sliced

  • optional: fresh parsley or basil

  • drizzle of extra virgin olive ol

Egg & Chili Crisp

  • cottage cheese

  • chili crisp oil

  • microgreens (optional)

  • fried egg
