High-Protein Chocolate Mousse

A decadent dessert with 23 grams of protein? It almost sounds too good to be true. This High-Protein Chocolate Mousse delivers such rich, deep chocolate flavor that you’d never guess how much protein is packed inside.

Why do I care so much about adding protein to desserts? A few reasons:

  • It’s an easy (and delicious) way to help you meet your daily protein goals.

  • Protein helps slow the release of sugar into the bloodstream, supporting more stable blood sugar levels.

  • It boosts satiety and fullness, which can make portion control easier and help keep your hunger steady throughout the day.

Of course, adding protein should never come at the expense of flavor—and that’s absolutely not the case here. The cottage cheese and collagen blend completely smoothly into the mousse, so you’d never know they were in the recipe.

Next time a chocolate craving hits, whip up this easy, delicious, protein-packed treat for a healthier twist on your favorite dessert.

High-Protein Chocolate Mousse

Makes 2 small servings (or 1 large serving with approx. 45 grams of protein)

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup 2% cottage cheese (I like Good Culture)

  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup

  • 3 tbsp dark chocolate chips, melted

  • 2 tbsps cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsps collagen powder

  • optional toppings: whipped cream, fresh raspberries, shaved chocolate

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small blender or mini food processor and blend until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to let it cool and thicken (the longer in the fridge, the thicker the texture). Add your desired toppings and enjoy!
