Whole Wheat Pancakes

Enter these whole wheat pancakes. Whole wheat flour and eggs provide protein, while mashed bananas bring natural sweetness and the perfect thick texture. You won’t even notice that there isn’t any added sugar in these tasty pancakes, but you can always add a little maple syrup if you’re looking for a sweeter option. A touch of vanilla and cinnamon add delicious flavor.
Whole Wheat Pancakes
Makes about 6 pancakes
Ingredients:
2 bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk of choice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
Heat greased skillet on medium-low on the stovetop.
In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
Add flour, baking powder and cinnamon to the bowl and whisk until all ingredients are combined.
For each pancake, scoop 1/4 cup batter onto skillet and flip once bubbles appear on the surface.
Healthy serving suggestions: top with chia seed jam, fruit, nut butter, and/or Greek yogurt
